Enter Africa involves many partners ranging from Esport agencies, game developers and gamification experts to organizations from different African countries and Europe.
The creation processes of the location-based games as well as the
mega-game happened parallel in local and regional brainstorming sessions and
workshops. Enter Africa is the future: An autonomous, self-sustaining and
collective pan-African entity serving as a gateway to African talents.

What is EnterAfrica?
EnterAfrica is a Trans-African Creative network active in 15 African countries. It started as a Goethe-Institut project in 2019 that brought together interdisciplinary teams (Esport gamers, architects, urban planners, IT experts, and artists) from 15 Sub-Saharan African cities to explore "what would the future of your cities look like?" It has since grown into a self-sustaining pan-African organization aiming to build a gaming/technology ecosystem that represents African culture.

How can I or my organization become a member?
There are three membership categories: Country Membership (one per country, needs 10 individuals or 2 entities, approved by the Assembly with a 6-month trial), Entity Membership (for studios, publishers, event organizers, labs, etc. — renewed yearly), and Individual Membership (for individuals, also renewed yearly). Entities and individuals apply through their country's existing Local Entity, or apply for Country Membership directly if none exists yet.

What are the benefits of joining the network?
Members get access to the online Community Platform, capacity-building workshops and webinars, a database of opportunities, regular newsletters, invitations to EnterAfrica summits, and support registering for global/regional events. "Affiliate Members" (those actively working within Assembly, a Working Group, or a Member Country) can additionally vote in local elections and on strategic network-wide issues.

15 founding cities joined in 2019: Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire), Accra (Ghana), Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Dakar (Senegal), Dar es Salaam (Tanzania), Kampala (Uganda), Kigali (Rwanda), Kinshasa (DR Congo), Johannesburg (South Africa), Lagos (Nigeria), Lomé (Togo), Nairobi (Kenya), Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), Windhoek (Namibia), and Yaoundé (Cameroon).
